ESTONIAN SINFONIETTA IN THE GREAT HALL OF THE WIENER KONZERTHAUS 25.03.2022

After a magnificent concert in the year 2018 in the Golden Hall of Musikverein with Kristina Poska and Alice Sara Ott, Estonian Sinfonietta is once again invited to Vienna to bring Estonian music and artists into the heart of Europe, this time to perform in the Great Hall of the Wiener Konzerthaus under the baton of Finnish conductor Emilia Hoving.

The soloists for the concert were Austrian oboe virtuoso Katharina Hörmann, who performed the oboe concerto by Richard Strauss, TrV 292 and Lithuanian top-violinist Rūta Lipinaitytė, who was soloist in Arvo Pärt “Fratres”. The concert was framed by the symphonies nr. 1 and nr. 104 of Joseph Haydn. Estonian music was presented by the works of Arvo Pärt , beside “Fratres” was played “Cantus in Memoriam Benjamin Britten”. From Finland, “Hava” by Lotta Wennäkoski was performed.

The concert was featured in several concert series such as "Internationale Orchester", "Pultmagie", "Klassik A", "Featured Artists und Gäste", "Romantik" and "Genieblitze".
