ESTONIAN SINFONIETTA AT 31st TALLINN INTERNATIONAL ORGAN FESTIVAL
On Sunday, August 6th at 8 PM, two Lutheran masses, BWV 235 and BWV 236 by Johann Sebastian Bach will be performed in Tallinn St. John’s Church by Estonian Sinfonietta together with Chamber Choir Voces Musicales and soloists Jaanika Kuusik (soprano), Evelin Ester (alto), Anto Õnnis (tenor), and Alvar Tiisler (bass).
The concert celebrating the 500th anniversary of the Reformation and the 100th anniversary of the Estonian Evangelical Lutheran Church will be conducted by Andres Mustonen.
The Organ Festival is one of the oldest music festivals in Estonia since its foundation in 1987. In addition to the St. Nicholas Church, concerts will also have been held at the Dome Church and St. John's Church in Tallinn, St. Paul's Church in Tartu and the Churches of Mustvee, Lohusuu, Kodavere, and Nissi.
The Artistic Director of the Tallinn International Organ Festival is Professor Andres Uibo.
