HIGHLIGHTS IN THE ESTONIAN SINFONIETTA SEASON 2017/2018
Estonian Sinfonietta begins its season on September 28th in the series “Oratorio”
where the concerts “The Beauty of the Evening” inspired by the work by Pärt Uusberg, are the beginning of the celebration of Estonian Republic 100th anniversary.
In addition to the music by Uusberg, chorale “Jesus bleibet meine Freude” by Johann Sebastian Bach and the “Gloria” by Antonio Vivaldi will be performed together with the Chamber Choir Collegium Musicale under the baton of Endrik Üksvärav.
At the end of January, in the series “Golden Classics” Estonian Sinfonietta will play pieces of Viennese classics at the concerts “Viennese Gold”. The soloist of the Violin Concerto No 3 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is Maano Männi, the concertmaster of the orchestra.
The Estonian Sinfoniettas’ current season will end in May in the Golden Hall of the Vienna Musikverein.
The soloist of two concert series Internationale Orchester and Klavier, is pianist Alice Sara Ott. In the program of this concert are overture “Coriolanus” and Piano Concerto No 1 by Ludwig van Beethoven in addition to “Insula deserta” and “Lighthouse” by Erkki-Sven Tüür.
